Page Six reported today that Gillian Anderson and Peter Morgan, the creator of The Crown, have broken up. The outlet says Peter and Gillian have split up after four years of dating, which comes amid the 52-year-old X-Files alum’s portrayal of Margaret Thatcher on The Crown.
Reportedly, Gillian and the 57-year-old Peter started dating back in 2016. Thus far, it’s not clear why they broke up, but Anderson’s representative hasn’t said anything about the split. Regarding the history of their romance, Anderson first split up with her first spouse, Clyde Klotz, back in 1997.
They had one daughter together, Piper, who is now 26-years-old. She and her second husband, Julian Ozanne, announced they were going to break up in 2006. She later went on to date Mark Griffiths from 2006 until 2015 and they had two sons during that time, including the 12-year-old Felix and Oscar, who is 14-years-old.
As for Morgan, he has five different children from Lila Schwarzenberg. As most know, Gillian Anderson starred in The X-Files in the 1990s and the series has gone on to become one of the most famous sci-fi productions of all time. It’s now a cult classic.
Gillian later found work on the Netflix series, The Crown, which has proven to be one of the most popular productions on the streaming platform of 2020. Although, The Crown has certainly caused problems for the royal family.
Reportedly, the influx of commenters after watching the series led to Prince Charles having to shut down his social media due to all of the critics and haters who have taken the program at face value.
On Netflix’s popular series, Gillian portrays Margaret Thatcher, who has been regarded as one of the most iconic politicians in recent memory. Thatcher was known for being not only the first female prime minister of Great Britain but also for her conservative policies.
Thatcher has been dubbed by conservatives today as one of the greats, although, her reputation has certainly been disputed by conservatives, liberals, historians, and other political commentators.
