Jon Jones put his rivalry with Daniel Cormier to one side and offered him support following the death of his father.
Cormier, a former two-weight world champion, used social media to announce the passing of his father, Percy Benoit.

The tragic news comes just two weeks after Cormier lost his heavyweight title to Stipe Miocic at UFC 241, when he was knocked out in the fourth round.

Jones is considered Cormier's biggest rival, having fought him on two occasions, first in 2015 and then again in 2017 winning both, although the second fight was later ruled a no contest when Jones tested positive for banned substances.
In 2017, Jones mother Camille, passed away following a long battle with diabetes.
Despite their long-standing feud, Jones has reached out to 'DC' with a message of sympathy following his loss.
